Cee Lo Green to Play Free Show at CityWalk's '5 Towers' (Exclusive)
Green will perform as part of the "Plugged In" summer music series at the new venue.
Cee Lo Green may have stepped down from Rihanna's "Loud" tour, but he will be present at Universal CityWalk's newly minted "5 Towers" concert venue next week. As part of the "Plugged In" music series, Green will take to the brand new Los Angeles stage on Thursday, July 7 at 8:00 p.m. All shows will be totally free of cost and open to the public.
CityWalk's largest expansion in over a decade, "5 Towers" opens Friday, July 1 with performances from Later Days and Elvis Monroe. Other highlights throughout the summer include Carolina Liar (July 16), Alien Ant Farm (July 9) and NBC's The Sing Off finalists, The Backbeats (August 13).
This brand new venue boasts a 31-by-24 foot stage complete with thousands of LED fixtures, motion capture sensors, five 42-foot light tower sculptures, a giant video monitor and a state-of-the-art audio system. The first of its kind, "5 Towers" will immerse the audience in interaction with a series of underground sensors, allowing guests to manipulate the volume of lights within each decorative light tower. Fans nearest the stage will also be able to have their silhouettes projected on the stage's back wall.
