Alessandro Michele, Donna Karan to Be Honored at CFDA Awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America revealed this year's nominees and honorees on Wednesday evening.

Just as awards season wrapped, we're reminded that the CFDA Awards are just a few months away (on June 6, to be exact) as the Council of Fashion Designers of America revealed this year's nominees and honorees on Wednesday evening.

Gucci's Alessandro Michele, who's basically everyone's favorite in the fashion community right now, will be presented with the International Award. Donna Karan and Norma Kamali will be the recipients of the Founder's Award and Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively.

The womenswear category sees past winners nominated again this year, including Joseph Altuzarra of Altuzarra (he took home the honor in 2014); Marc Jacobs (in 2010); Proenza Schouler's Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough (in 2007, 2011 and 2013); The Row's Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (in 2012 and 2015); and Rodarte's Laura and Kate Mulleavy (in 2009).
