Charlie Sheen Files for Divorce
'Two and a Half Men' star will pay $55,000 a month in child support to Brooke Mueller, according to their property settlement.
Charlie Sheen filed from divorce from Brooke Mueller on Monday, People reported.
The news comes a week after the Two and a Half Men star was hospitalized after reportedly trashing a hotel room.
According to documents posted online by TMZ, Sheen and Mueller -- who were married in 2008 -- get joint legal custody of their 1-year-old twin sons, while Mueller will will receive $55,000 a month in child support. She also gets a settlement of nearly $758,000.
In addition, Sheen gets to keep the family's house, but he will pay Mueller around $1 million. He also will keep a nearly $5.5 million watch collection.
The couple's relationship had been rocky for some time, and the divorce documents list their date of separation as Christmas of last year, the day he was arrested in Colorado for a domestic incident involving Mueller, who had placed a call to 911.
As a result, Sheen was put on probation and sentenced to domestic violence counseling. The couple also both entered separate rehab programs.
Mueller is Sheen's third wife. He has two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards and was also married to Donna Peele in the mid-1990s. He also has a daughter with ex-girlfriend Paula Profit.
