Chelsea Handler to Address Female Entrepreneurs at L.A. Conference (Exclusive)
The comedienne will deliver a keynote speech at the Create & Cultivate conference in downtown L.A. next month.
As far as female entrepreneurs in Hollywood are concerned, Chelsea Handler is about as funny as they come.
Next month, the comedienne will bring both her wit and wisdom to the female entrepreneurial conference Create & Cultivate in downtown L.A. as the keynote speaker. The former host of E!'s Chelsea Lately will speak to a crowd of 500 millennial female businesswomen about her experience climbing the ranks in an industry that's notoriously dominated by men.
But the high male-female ratio in the late-night industry hasn't ever slowed her down. In addition to her riotous talk show, Handler has published five books, appeared in films and TV shows, launched her own four-part documentary series on Netflix called Chelsea Does and will soon host another late night-style Netflix talk show called Chelsea, which will debut in May.
“We couldn’t think of a more perfect keynote to encapsulate the ever-changing landscape of entertainment, digital and being a powerful woman in the workplace. Chelsea is a pioneer and in so many ways an inspiration to our audience,” says Create & Cultivate founder Jaclyn Johnson.
The conference features a wide range of panels regarding everything from capitalizing on the bridal business to balancing work and motherhood. Past speakers have included influencers like blogger Shea Marie and comedian The Fat Jew (Josh Ostrovsky) as well as Julianne Hough and Whitney Port.
Tickets to the DTLA conference, which will take place on May 7 at the Hudson Loft, are already sold out. It's a bummer, too, considering that with over 60 speakers, this is Create & Cultivate's biggest to date.
