Club Manager Arrested After Chris Brown-Drake Brawl
Jonathan Cantor, who manages the Soho nightclub W.i.P., was taken to jail early Friday morning.
The manager of the New York nightclub where Drake allegedly brawled with Chris Brown earlier this week has been arrested, CBS News reports.
Jonathan Cantor, who runs the basement club W.i.P. in Soho, was carried off to jail around 2 a.m. on Friday, less than 24 hours after Drake and Brown's headline-making, bottle-throwing confrontation that left the latter with a gash on his chin.
Police, responding to a noise complaints, conducted a business inspection of the venue; Cantor, who has two outstanding arrest warrants against him, was handed summons for alcohol beverage control and violation of fire code.

At the same time, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn called a meeting over bottle service with the NYPD and members of the nightlife industry, CBS said.
“The purpose of this meeting is to send a clear message to all nightclub patrons that bottles cannot be used as weapons and to determine if the guidelines surrounding bottle service need to be updated or reworked,” Quinn said Friday in a statement.
Meanwhile, Drake and Brown -- and their entourages -- have so far avoided arrests. As previously reported, the two singers clashed in the wee hours of Thursday morning after Brown apparently sent a bottle of champagne over to Drake's table; Drake is believed to have sent a nasty note back to Brown’s table in response, and some time afterward, a bottle was thrown and a fight ensued.
Later Thursday, Brown talked with police and his lawyer presented purported evidence showing that Drake -- who shares a romantic history with Rihanna in common with Brown -- was an instigator in the altercation. Drake has denied any involvement.
