Chris Hardwick to Host Streamy Awards
The third annual ceremony honors excellence in original online video programming.
Comedian Chris Hardwick has been tapped to host the Third Annual Streamy Awards.
Hardwick is known as the host of AMC’s Talking Dead and as the creator of the Nerdist podcast and website, both of which celebrate geek culture. The podcast is also a show on BBC America.

"Don't tell television, but there is some SUPERIOR programming being made on the Interwebz,” Hardwick said in a statement. “I am honored to help give the Web community, many of whom are my friends, the accolades they deserve. Also, the show is going to be breezy and fun. I think the Streamys could be a new Tonys! DO YOU HEAR ME NPH?!"
Streamy Awards Executive Producer Barry Adelman and Producer Assaf Blecher praised Hardwick in a statement, saying “being such an influential force in pop culture and a powerful online presence, he truly resonates with our audience.”
The Streamy Awards, presented by dick clark productions and Tubefilter, honor excellence in original online video programming and the creators behind them.

This year’s nominees include social comedy MyMusic, which snagged nine nominations, followed by Halo Unto 4: Forward Dawn, which received eight. Find the complete list of nominees here.
