Chris Hemsworth Named CinemaCon's Male Star of Tomorrow
The "Thor" actor, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are among the honorees at the National Association of Theatre Owners convention.
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has been named CinemaCon's Male Star of Tomorrow. The Thor star will receive the distinction at the convention's closing gala in Las Vegas on March 31.
CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser said, "With a successful small screen career in Australia, Hemsworth is sure to impress audiences with his upcoming role in Thor. We are excited for what the future holds for Hemsworth on the big screen."
In addition to Thor, which opens May 6, Hemsworth will star in the Red Dawn remake, Cabin in the Woods and Marvel's Avengers movie.
Gossip Girl star Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are among the other actors being honored at CinemaCon which is the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners.
