Chris Pratt's Top 7 Goofiest Moments From 'Jurassic World' Press Tour
From prancing around in heels to reading dinosaur erotica, here's a look at some of the actor's silliest acts from his recent press run.
While promoting his latest film Jurassic World (which broke box office records its first weekend in theaters), it seems Chris Pratt did almost everything but discuss the film itself.
From running around in a pair of high heels to showing off his British accent, here are seven silliest moments from Pratt's press tour in honor of Pratt's birthday on June 21 (which also happens to be Father's Day).
1. An Early Apology
Prior to kicking off the press tour, the actor took safety measures to apologize in advance for things he may later regret saying during interviews. In Pratt's usual endearingly goofy fashion, he wrote on his Facebook page: "I want to make a heartfelt apology for whatever it is I end up accidentally saying during the forthcoming #JurassicWorld press tour. I hope you understand it was never my intention to offend anyone and I am truly sorry. I swear. I'm the nicest guy in the world. And I fully regret what I (accidentally will have) said in (the upcoming foreign and domestic) interview(s)."
2. Running in High Heels
While on the Late Late Show, host James Corden commended Pratt's co-star Bryce Dallas Howard's ability to film intense chase scenes in the film while wearing high heels. When Corden then challenged Pratt to see if he could similarly run fast in heels, the actor put on a pair of red pumps and pranced around on set.
3. Performing With Jimmy Buffett
Jimmy Buffett made a surprise appearance at Jurassic World's Hollywood premiere party to perform his hit "Margaritaville." Pratt joined the singer onstage at the Dolby Theatre and rocked out alongside the accompanying band.
Pratt wasn't at all fazed by a request for him to read an excerpt of dino-erotica ("Is that like dinosaur porn?") in the middle of an interview with MTV News. When asked how he felt about what he had just read, Pratt blatantly answered, "Kind of oddly turned on. This shit works!"
5. Pratt Gets Pranked
The Jurassic World actor faced his own fears in a stunt planned by internet pranksters SA Wardega. As Pratt entered a room thinking he would be attending a meeting, two fake dinosaurs jumped out from behind a wall, causing the actor to fall to the ground out of shock. "You got me, man," he said. "How do you say f— you in Polish?"
6. The Three Faces of Jurassic World
On Conan, host Conan O'Brien noted that Pratt must have had to practice his "scared face" for the film. "You should really just do nothing," Pratt replied. "The worst thing you can do is overact." The actor then proceeded to show O'Brien the three (same) faces it takes to exude emotions of fear, love and joy.
7. Practicing British Accents
The actor visited the Graham Norton Show while in the U.K. and showed off his best British accent, which he mastered by imitating the reality stars on the British series The Only Way Is Essex (which Pratt describes as the British version of Jersey Shore). "We love that garbage TV back in the States," he said.
