Chris Rock Talks Choke Holds, NYPD and Eric Garner Protests

CBS

"No better way to calm down angry black people than British royalty"

Chris Rock brought up choke holds and "Hands Up Don't Shoot" when he was on The Late Show on Thursday. He threw up his hands, in reference to the Ferguson protests, and joked he instantly put them up when he saw Sting because he's scared of The Police.

The comedian, who was on the show promoting his movie Top Five, also said that the WWE has better standards than the NYPD because of their ban on choke holds. He even took a pass at the British royals showing up in New York City, as people are rioting against Eric Garner's death. "No better way to calm down angry black people than British royalty," said Rock.
