Denmark’s Christian Juhl Lemche Elected New EFP President
European Film Promotion appoints new board of directors at Hamburg meeting.
COLOGNE, Germany -- Christian Juhl Lemche of the Danish Film Institute has been elected the new president of European Film Promotion (EFP), the body that markets and promotes European cinema worldwide.
Lemche will head the new EFP board of directors elected at a members meeting in Hamburg this week. He replaces Eva Vezer of Hungary.
The other members of the board of directors are German Films’ Mariette Rissenbeek; Claudia Landsberger of the Netherland’s EYE International; Rafael Cabrera of Spain’s ICAA; Ivana Ivisic of Croatian Audiovisual Centre; Jaana Puskala of the Finnish Film Foundation and Martin Schweighofer, managing director of the Austrian Film Commission.
The EFP promotes European big screen talent through a series of programs, including the Berlin Film Festival’s Shooting Stars showcase and Producers on the Move in Cannes.
