Christina Aguilera Confirms Split
Singer met producer husband Jordan Bratman in 2002, when he worked on her album.
Christina Aguilera confirmed her separation from husband Jordan Bratman in a statement released Tuesday.
"Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever," the singer told The Hollywood Reporter.
The couple met in 2002 when he worked as a producer on one of her albums and wed in Napa Valley in November 2005. They welcomed their son in January 2008.
She will star alongside Cher in "Burlesque," in theaters November 24.
Her last album, Bionic, sold just 110,000 copies in the first week of its release -- less than a third of what her 2006 album, Back to Basics, sold in 2006.
The lead single, "Not Myself Tonight," debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard charts.
She's won four Grammys.
