Ciara Named Revlon's New Ambassador
It's about time the singer landed a beauty contract.
It's unclear why it's taken so long for Ciara to land a major makeup contract, but the day has finally come: The 30-year-old beauty has been named the new global ambassador of Revlon.
Ciara will being her role by fronting for the makeup giant's Choose Love campaign and promoting Revlon's new ColorStay Eye and Kiss Balm. Much like her fellow ambassadors, including Olivia Wilde and Emma Stone, the Grammy Award winner will appear in multimedia campaigns. Her first campaign drops Oct. 22 and will continue to roll out in early November.
Coincidentally, the beauty brand holds a particular significance for the performer.
"I've been a fan of the iconic Revlon brand my entire life. In fact, my name comes from the Revlon Ciara fragrance," said Ciara. "It was a gift given to my mother from my father, and she fell in love with the scent and the name."
According to Revlon, Ciara was the ideal candidate to rep the label because she "is a talented and accomplished artist, loving wife and mother and a model of female empowerment," said company president and CEO Fabian Garcia.
The singer recently attended Revlon's annual philanthropic luncheon at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Sept. 27.
