Zack Snyder, Guillermo del Toro and Todd Phillips all took the stage at the packed Las Vegas event.
LAS VEGAS -- Warner Bros. paraded out three big directors for its presentation at CinemaCon on Tuesday.

Zack Snyder introduced a world premiere of the trailer for the highly anticipated Man of Steel, Todd Phillips cracked some jokes before The Hangover Part III clip, and Guillermo del Toro spoke before footage of robot-vs.-alien pic Pacific Rim.
President of Warner Bros. Pictures Group Jeff Robinov opened the presentation, which began with The Great Gatsby.
Director Baz Luhrmann was not present at the event but sent in a heartfelt video note to introduce the stunning new Great Gatsby 3D footage.
Robinov then lightened the mood while introducing Todd Phillips, helmer of Hangover III. He told the crowd, “Believe it or not, there was a time when a hangover was not considered such a great thing."
“Let’s wake this up a little,” joked Phillips when he took the stage.
“I think comedies need to be seen in theaters with groups of people who can laugh together,” he said after a few more jokes.
After adding that Hangover III will hit theaters May 24, Phillips mentioned that the press has been asking him what it will be like to open against Fast & Furious 6.

“C’mon, it’s f---ing Vin Diesel and the Rock,” he said, shrugging off the supposed box-office threat. Extended footage of the film, showing the band of friends traveling from Mexico to Vegas, with plenty of disastrous things happening along the way, then played for the crowd.
Snyder appeared onstage next to introduce a brand-new trailer for Man of Steel, which will screen before Oblivion but had not been shown to audiences before.
“There’s no competition between superheroes, but if there was, he’d win,” Snyder told the crowd of Superman.
The film, which stars Henry Cavill, will hit theaters June 14.
“We shot the movie on film -- and it’s sad I have to say that -- because I wanted the movie to be a big movie experience,” he told the audience.
The new trailer focuses heavily on Clark Kent’s upbringing and his determination to hide who he really is. He eventually accepts his role as a superhero, leading to some explosive scenes. (Watch the new trailer below.)
Pacific Rim helmer del Toro then took the stage, commenting on the significance of making this big sci-fi action film, which hits theaters July 11.
“The experience of making this movie has changed my life,” he told the crowd before the footage screened. “The movie comes out from the deepest part of my being that is full of love. The 12-year-old kid who is in love with giant monsters.”
300: Rise of an Empire also got a video introduction from director Noam Murro, who warned that the footage was still very rough.
Footage from the comedy We’re the Millers, starring Jennifer Aniston as a stripper, got some of the biggest laughs. The film features Jason Sudeikis and Aniston pretending to be a family with some fake children and featured a shocking scene of their fake son’s injured penis.
Brief 3D footage from Gravity, starring George Clooney, which hits theaters in October, was also shown, along with an emotional clip from Prisoners. The film stars Hugh Jackman as a father whose daughter has gone missing and Jake Gyllenhaal as the man helping the family look for her.
The Hobbit director Peter Jackson also sent in a video greeting, but said it’s too early to be showing any footage to the audience.
