Cinemark Promotes COO Tim Warner to CEO

The 16-year veteran of the movie exhibitor and former NATO executive replaces Alan Stock, who has retired.
Cinemark said Wednesday that Tim Warner has been appointed its new CEO, replacing Alan Stock, who retired but will remain in a transitional role until May.

Warner, a 16-year veteran with the movie exhibition company, was most recently its COO. Before joining as president of Cinemark International in 1996 he was CEO of NATO California/Nevada and general chairman of NATO/ShoWest.

"Cinemark is the industry's leading exhibitor and I am proud to have contributed to the company's growth during my 26-year tenure," Stock said Wednesday. Stock had been CEO since late 2006.
Cinemark operates 448 theaters with 5,096 screens in the U.S. and Latin America.
