City Lights taps Jennifer Demme

First assignment is Barbara Kopple's series '3 Americas'

Jennifer Demme has joined City Lights Television as vp production, overseeing TV and digital projects.

Her first assignment will be City Lights' documentary series "3 Americas," to be directed by Barbara Kopple.

Demme joins the company -- whose credits include Lifetime's "Your Mama Don't Dance" and TV Guide Network's "Celebrity Says" -- from Fuse, where she was executive in charge of production overseeing studio and field production, events, tours, concert series and production development.

Her experience also includes working on MTV's Video Music Awards and VH1's "200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons" as well as the feature films "The Yards" and "Rounders."

Demme is the niece of director Jonathan Demme and sister of the late director-producer Ted Demme.

"I've wanted to work with Jen for years," City Lights TV president Dave Noll said. "Everyone around MTV Networks and Rainbow Media knows of her hard work and incredible talent. Clearly, it runs in her family."
