Hope Davis Joins Jena Malone, Alex Karpovsky in 'Claire' (Exclusive)
Davis can be seen in the upcoming season of 'American Crime.'
Hope Davis has been added to the cast of Claire, the American remake of Eric Rohmer’s 1982 French flick Le Beau Mariage.
The Synecdoche, New York actress will be joining Hunger Games star Jenna Malone and Girls actor Alex Karpovsky in the film.
Claire follows the story of a twenty-something (Malone) who decides she needs get married to spite her own married lover, and deduces that her best chance for betrothal is to the cousin of her best friend, who will be played by Davis.
This will be the feature debut for Grammy-nominated director Dori Oskowitz, whose background is in music videos, having worked with artists like Jack White and Passion Pit. Claire been adapted for the American screen by Juan Iglesias and Jonathan Saba.
Robbie Little will executive produce the film, which is being made by Rilean Pictures.
Davis has received two Emmy nominations for her roles in In Treatment and the 2010 TV movie The Special Relationship. She will be returning to the small screen as the lead in season two of American Crime.
