Clint Eastwood's Longtime Rep Honored by Talent Managers Association
Held at Universal Sheraton, the ceremony toasted Eastwood manager Leonard Hirshan and Jake Azhar with the top awards.
Leonard Hirshan, longtime representative for Clint Eastwood, was given the Talent Managers Association's award for lifetime achievement in management on Tuesday at the organization's 11th annual Heller Awards. Jake Azhar of Hollywood Management Company was honored as manager of the year.
The ceremony, held in the Starlight Ballroom at the Universal Sheraton, honored talent representatives who aim to uphold the organization's code of ethics and standards of practice while providing outstanding service to clients.
Azhar's clients can be seen on TV series such as 90210 and CSI. He also represents directors, singers, composers and producers Kenneth Lehman and Thomas Jones.
Hirshan's relationship with Eastwood has spanned 50 years, beginning when he was an agent at William Morris in the 1950s. In 2004 he left to open his own self-titled management company. Besides Eastwood, his other clients have included Sophia Loren, Angela Lansbury and Stu Rosenberg.
Nominees for the awards were presented gift bags provided by the Beverly Hills Car Club. The event also featured a silent auction benefitting the Weingart Center Association, an organization aimed at ending homelessness.
