Clint Eastwood's Caitlyn Jenner Joke to be Cut From Guys Choice Awards
The veteran actor-director referred to the transgender woman as "Caitlyn Somebody."
Clint Eastwood poked fun at Caitlyn Jenner during Sunday night's taping of the Guys Choice Awards, but his joke won't make it into the Spike broadcast of the show on June 18.
When Eastwood introduced honoree Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, he compared the wrestler-turned-actor to other athletes who've become actors like, he said, "Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody."
A rep for Spike confirmed Eastwood's comment and said it wouldn't make the June 18 broadcast. The show, hosted by Empire stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, also honored Chris Pratt, LL Cool J, Liam Neeson, NBA star Russell Westbrook, Hannah Davis and Salma Hayek.
Eastwood's just the latest celebrity to voice a controversial reaction to Jenner, who made her debut as a transgender woman on the cover of Vanity Fair on Monday.
