MORE 'MEDIUM'

NBC has ordered three more scripts for "Medium," sources said. The midseason drama typically joins NBC's schedule in the winter, but the production has been told to be ready to go on the air earlier than usual, suggesting the series might join NBC's lineup sometime before year's end.

EARLY SWITCH FOR HAWAII

The nationwide switch to digital television will come to a little early to Hawaii because of the endangered Hawaiian dark-rumped petrel. Wildlife officials had concerns about the birds, but by switching early, broadcast towers atop Haleakala volcano on Maui can be dismantled without interfering with their nesting season. The switch from analog signals to an all-digital format is set for Jan. 15 in the islands, ahead of the Feb. 17 transition.

'FEUD' IN CHINA

FremantleMedia is hammering out a deal in Singapore to take "Family Feud" to the territory as a co-production with a Chinese partner, regional managing director Patrick Schult said Wednesday. The partnership will produce about 150 episodes intended for syndication to second-tier TV stations across China, calling it "Family Fortune" instead.
