CME now sole owner of Ukraine's 1+1
Country's second biggest with 16.9% market shareMOSCOW -- Central European Media Enterprises on Monday became the sole owner of the Ukrainian TV channel 1+1 after buying the remaining 10% stake from Boris Fuksman and Alexander Rodnyanski.
According to Ukrainian news sources, CME paid $109 million for the stake.
1+1 is Ukraine's first private TV channel. It was founded in 1995 and is the country's second-biggest TV channel in terms of audience, which amounted to 16.9% in the first half of 2008.
The channel's revenue in the first half of 2008 was $53.47 million.
