Adam Sandler Tries on Magical Shoes in 'The Cobbler' Trailer

You may never again want to drop off your footwear for repairs.

Not since Cinderella has a pair of shoes caused this much drama. 

In the first trailer for the forthcoming Adam Sandler dramedy The Cobbler, Max (Sandler) learns that, by wearing the shoes he fixes, he can become the people who own them. Yes, you read that sentence correctly.

Things get especially interesting when the beautiful woman whom Max has been daydreaming about brings her boyfriend's shoes to the shop. Naturally, a sexy shower scene ensues, although it doesn't quite go the way Max envisioned. 

Dustin Hoffman, Dan Stevens, Ellen Barkin, Method Man and frequent Sandler cohort Steve Buscemi round out the cast. Thomas McCarthy (The Visitor) directed from a script he co-wrote.

The film, which appears to have more serious themes than the similarly shoe-centric Like Mike, premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released March 13 in theaters and on VOD.
