Comcast promotes senior execs

Suzanne Kolb, Kevin MacLellan named division presidents

Comcast Entertainment Group has expanded the leadership roles of two key senior execs: Suzanne Kolb has been named president of marketing, news and online for E! Entertainment and the Style Network and Kevin MacLellan has been upped to president of Comcast International Media Group and Comcast Entertainment Productions.

The promotions were unveiled Tuesday by Comcast Entertainment Group president-CEO Ted Harbert, to whom Kolb and MacLellan continue to report.

"Kevin has led the hugely successful expansion of Comcast's networks internationally and his considerable experience in domestic and international production brings an exciting global perspective to Comcast Entertainment Productions. Suzanne has done a phenomenal job leading Marketing and Online for E! and Style and I am thrilled that she will now oversee our News division," Harbert said.

In her new role, Kolb takes on the job of unifying and growing all of E!'s news entities including E! News, Daily 10, E! Online and E! News Now. She continues to lead all marketing, communications and brand alliances for E! and Style and oversees E! Online and Mystyle.com. Kolb also continues to work closely with the company's international division in guiding brand strategies worldwide.

Kolb previously was Chief Marketing Officer, E! Entertainment Television and The Style Network; General Manager, E! Online. In this role, she served as the marketing strategist behind network franchises, including E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and Style's "Ruby."

Prior to joining the company in 2005, Kolb served as exec VP of marketing at the WB.

In his new role MacLellan has committed to a three-year deal, which sees him taking on the responsibility of managing CEP, which produces shows for third-party outlets domestically and internationally. MacLellan will also oversee the production of franchises such as E!'s "True Hollywood Story" and Style's "Clean House." MacLellan continues to direct CIMG, which includes the international properties E!, Style, Versus, Golf Channel and G4. MacLellan also leads all international new media businesses, including seven international versions of E! Online and 15 E! Mobile channels.

Previous to his time at E! MacLellan was a VP in London for Columbia Tristar International Television and before that a director of programming for HBO in New York and in Eastern Europe.

Based in Los Angeles, CEG operates E!, E! Online, the Style Network, and G4. CEG is a unit of cable giant Comcast, which is in the process of acquiring a majority stake in NBC Universal.
