Comcast CEO Brian Roberts will lead a series of global town hall meetings with NBC Universal execs and staffers on Jan. 27, kicking off the newly merged company.

Meetings will be held in several locations with Comcast and NBCU execs joined by talent from the company’s film and TV assets. Roberts will be in Los Angeles, where he’ll be joined at the podium by Universal Studios president-COO Ron Meyer, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Steve Burke, who becomes CEO of NBCU when the merger deal formally closes, will be in New York.

Meyer’s inclusion should help quell rumors of an immediate housecleaning at the Universal film studio (there’s already been a top-to-bottom overhaul on the NBC television side).

Meyer still has two years on his contract, there appear to be no immediate plans to change the guard at Universal.

Many of the studio’s recent movies have underperformed (such as and the current comedy The Dilemma), but there is a sense that they were greenlit under the previous Universal regime. Under Meyer, top studio execs Marc Shmuger and David Linde were ousted in October 2009, replaced by Adam Fogelson and Donna Langley, who were both promoted from within Universal.
