LONDON – Stand-up comedian and actor Seann Walsh has laughed his way to a 13-part comedy season commission of authored shows for Comedy Central U.K.
The U.K. channel, currently home to the Charlie Sheen starrer Anger Management, has ordered the series Seann Walsh World from producer Open Mike Productions.

The show will feature Walsh as a young, single joker, using everything from stand-up to viral hits to illustrate his world, "which is remarkably similar to most 28-year-olds."
Veteran producer on Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Grant Philpott will be series producer.
Walsh currently also stars in Comedy Central’s narrative commission, the eight-part Big Bad World, alongside Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners), Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly) and James Fleet (The Vicar of Dibley).

Walsh is a familiar face on British TV, with regular turns on shows including Comedy Central’s Grouchy Young Men, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo, Stand-up for the Week and comedy panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats.
Comedy Central U.K. managing director and svp of international content Jill Offman greenlit the project.
Executive producers are Sarah Farrell, director of development and content for Comedy Central, and Andrew Beint for Open Mike.
The show is scheduled to record in February for a spring 2013 transmission.
