Comedy Central Ups Development Exec Brooke Posch
She'll now serve as senior vp original programming and development, East Coast, after shepherding "Broad City" for the network.
Comedy Central has promoted Brooke Posch to senior vp original programming and development, East Coast.
The executive and former vp will continue to oversee development and production of all East Coast-based original pilots and series, including the network's newest hit, Broad City.
"Brooke is so personable and has such finely tuned creative instincts she could do anything she wants in this business,” said Comedy Central president of content development and original programming Kent Alterman, to whom she reports. “I’m just grateful she’s letting me be her boss.”
During her tenure at Comedy Central, Posch has overseen the development of series including Inside Amy Schumer and the Amy Poehler-produced Broad City -- which was renewed for a second season this week. She's currently developing projects featuring Hannibal Buress, Chris Gethard as well as Above Average, Lorne Michaels' digital platform.
Posch, a member of The Hollywood Reporter's 2013 Next Gen list, got her start as Michaels' assistant at Saturday Night Live and was MTV's vp comedy and animation, among other positions.
