Comedy pilots cleaning up

Boston, Yasbeck, Itzin, Wise cast

Rachel Boston has landed the lead and Amy Yasbeck has been cast as a co-lead on ABC's untitled Ric Swartzlander comedy pilot, while "24's" president-vice president duo of Gregory Itzin and Ray Wise have been tapped for co-starring roles on ABC's comedy pilot "Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office" and the CW's one-hour pilot "The Reaper," respectively.

Additionally, "The Wire" co-star Domenick Lombardozzi has joined CBS' drama pilot "The Man"; Brandon Quinn, Nick Gonzalez and Sarayu Rao have been cast in Fox's untitled Liz Meriwether comedy pilot; Rade Serbedzija has joined CBS' drama pilot "Twilight"; and Cynthia Watros has come aboard CBS' comedy pilot "The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud."

The untitled Ric Swartzlander project, from ABC TV, is set in a chaotic Phoenix TV newsroom. Boston will play a rising star at the station who was recently promoted to executive producer of all news programs. "American Dreams" alum Boston is repped by the Gersh Agency and Forward Entertainment. Yasbeck, who recently co-starred on "Life on a Stick," will play a co-anchor.

"Nice Girls," from "24" producers 20th TV and Imagine TV, centers on the struggles of a "nice girl" trying to make it in the corporate world. Itzin will play an alpha male boss and adrenaline junkie. Itzin (SMS Talent, Kerry Korf Management) most recently has played President Charles Logan on Fox's "24," a role that earned him an Emmy nomination. His character was left clinging to life in Monday's episode. On the feature side, he recently wrapped the indie "Float" and the Lindsay Lohan starrer "I Know Who Killed Me."

"Reaper," from ABC TV Studio and the Marc Gordon Co., is a comedic drama about a 21-year-old slacker who becomes the devil's (Wise) bounty hunter. Wise played Vice President Hal Gardner on "24."

"Man," from CBS Par TV, centers on an undercover cop (LL Cool J) and single father. Lombardozzi will play a member of the cop's team. Lombardozzi (Gersh, Leverage Management) plays Detective Thomas Hauk on HBO's "The Wire."

The untitled Liz Meriwether project, from 20th TV, revolves around sorority sisters (Molly Stanton, Dorian Brown, Lacey Chabert) dealing with life after college. Quinn will play an ex-frat boy with a fancy finance job who is romantically linked to Chabert's character. Quinn (Pakula/King & Associates, Framework Entertainment) recently recurred on "The O.C." and "Vanished." Gonzalez will play a writer who has the hots for Stanton's character. Gonzalez (Pakula/King, the Collective), who recurred on "The O.C." and "Close to Home," will next be seen in the indie "Rockaway." Rao (SDB Partners, Allman/Rea Management) will play an overachiever who has always listened to her parents.

"Twilight," from WBTV and Silver Pictures, centers on a private investigator (Alex O'Laughlin) who is a vampire. Serbedzija will play an ancient vampire of European descent. Serbedzija recurs on "24" this season.

"Cloud," from ABC TV Studio and CBS Par TV, centers on a brilliant, opinionated writer (Marisa Tomei). Watros, who co-starred on "Lost," will play the writer's friend, a dancer and choreographer.
