Luke Perry, JoAnna Garcia, Helen Shaver and Kenneth Welsh have signed on to star in the holiday telefilm "A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride," set to air in December on Lifetime.

The movie, set at Christmastime, centers on Roxanne (Garcia), a twentysomething wedding planner who disapproves of her widowed mother Rose's (Shaver) whirlwind romance with a middle-aged businessman, Jack (Welsh).

Roxanne tries to find a way to persuade her mother that the upcoming wedding is a bad idea and partners with Jack's disgruntled son Charlie (Perry). But an unexpected romantic development forces Roxanne to re-examine her feelings.

Leslie Hope is directing "Bride" from a script by Scott Eastlick and Nadine Van Der Veld. The movie is from Nomadic Pictures, with Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev producing.

Garcia -- known for her role as Reba's daughter Cheyenne on "Reba," which airs in syndication on Lifetime -- co-stars in CBS' new comedy "Welcome to the Captain," which debuts Feb. 4. She is repped by WMA and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Perry, who most recently co-starred on HBO's "John From Cincinnati," is repped by Paradigm and manager Steve Himber.

Shaver's credits include USA Network's "The 4400" and a co-starring role on "Poltergeist: The Legacy," while Welsh recently appeared on NBC's "Bionic Woman" and in the film "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer."
