'Community' Creator Dan Harmon to Give Banff Master Class

Top creative execs behind "Banshee," "Good Luck Charlie" and "America’s Next Top Model" will also take part in the festival's showrunners program.

TORONTO – Community's Dan Harmon is the latest addition to the Banff World Media Festival's master class lineup this June.

Harmon will attend the Canadian Rockies industry retreat to join a showrunner lineup that includes Banshee creator Greg Yaitanes, Good Luck Charlie creator Phil Baker and Ken Mok, executive producer of America’s Next Top Model.

"Throughout my journeys, I've developed a unique brand of wisdom about producing television," said Harmon, whose show Community is now in its fifth season, in a statement Thursday as he gets set to offer a Banff master class.

The Canadian festival earlier announced plans for a master class by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto.

The Banff World Media Festival is set to run from June 8-11, 2014.
