Company 3 Expanding Reach in On-Air Promo and Trailer Market

The division's first project will be a trailer for the upcoming season of "Survivor."

Deluxe Entertainment Service Group’s Company 3 postproduction subsidiary is taking steps to grab a larger piece of the promo market with the launch of a new division that will focus on promotions, trailers, titles, animation and effects design for television networks. Company 3 is primarily known for its work in commercial, episodic TV and feature postproduction.

The division’s first project will be a new Survivor trailer for CBS and Mark Burnett, which will be used during the upcoming season.

Among the first to join the division are Robert Mape, who spent the past four years as senior editor of the television division at Trailer Park, Hollywood; and Steve Beal, who recently closed his New York-based promo shop, Bionic.

The division will include some new hires and also work with existing employees of Company 3 and Deluxe. It will use the Los Angeles and New York operations of these companies.

Company 3 was previously part of Ascent Media Creative Services, which was acquired by Deluxe in late 2010.
