The Company Hires Former Katalyst Films Senior Executive Jason Henry

UPDATED: He joins Charlie Ebersol's production house in the newly created role of senior vp unscripted development.

UPDATE: The banner has signed with WME for representation, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The Company, a television production company headed by Charlie Ebersol, has appointed Jason Henry to the newly created position of senior vp unscripted development. 

Formerly head of development at Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Films and Ryan Seacrest Productions, Henry will shepherd The Company's growing unscripted slate while closely collaborating with Ebersol.

“Jason has an incomparable track record of creating shows that attract big audiences to unexpected and entertaining content,” said Ebersol, founder and CEO of The Company. “His uncanny success in working with the biggest names to make big, visceral and empowering television makes him the perfect to fulfill our company’s mission to bring joy, happiness and change through entertainment.”

Henry has worked on TBS' Who Gets the Last Laugh, ABC's Oprah's Big Give, MTV's Bromance, ABC's Wipeout and NBC's Fear Factor.

Prior to joining Katalyst Films, Henry served as senior vp production and development at Ryan Seacrest Productions, where he developed and produced E!'s Denise Richards: It's Complicated, TLC's I Kid, With Brad Garrett and ABC's Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution. Henry won an Emmy for outstanding reality programming for Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution.

The Company is coming off a strong July premiere for CNBC's first reality series, The Profit. The company's credits include USA's The Moment, NFL Characters Unite series, Reelzchannel's Race to the Scene, NBC's The Wanted, TNT's The Great Escape and Spike pilot We're the Boss.
