Conan O'Brien to Host White House Correspondents' Association Dinner
The comedian will be the master of ceremonies at the star-studded yearly gathering, which is set for April 27.
The White House Correspondents' Association has found its funnyman.
Conan O'Brien will host the annual kudosfest April 27 in Washington, D.C., Fox News correspondent and WHCA president Ed Henry tweeted on Wednesday morning. The evening, which allows the fourth estate and the government officials they cover to pause any professional animosity and drink heartily, was hosted last year by Jimmy Kimmel.

The event has become, in a sense, D.C.'s version of the Academy Awards, with an ever-growing roster of stars on the guest list. Last year, Claire Danes, Zooey Deschanel, Kevin Spacey, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sofia Vergara, John Legend, Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan were among those to attend -- and walk the wild pre-show red carpet.
O'Brien hosted the event in 1995, when he was still in the early days of his time on NBC's Late Night. He now hosts TBS' flagship late-night talk show, Conan. No word yet if Triumph the Insult Comic Dog will be there to lend a paw to the roast.
