Conde Nast Entertainment Names Former ESPN Sales Exec Chief Revenue Officer
Lisa Valentino will be responsible for advertising and marketing across the company's new digital video network.
Conde Nast Entertainment has appointed former ESPN sales executive Lisa Valentino as its new chief revenue officer, it was announced Monday.
Valentino will be in charge of revenue generation, advertising and marketing across Conde Nast's new digital video network.
She most recently served as senior vp multimedia sales at ESPN, where she managed more than $1 billion in revenue by selling multimedia programs across ESPN's portfolio. Prior to joining ESPN, Valentino managed video ad sales for several content verticals at Yahoo and was a media buyer at Televest.
"Today's marketers know that the lines have blurred and consumers no longer make a differentiation between television and digital video content," Conde Nast Entertainment president, Dawn Ostroff, said in a statement. "Lisa’s experience at a successful traditional media company like ESPN, and her knowledge and understanding of the evolving marketplace, will help keep Conde Nast Entertainment at the forefront as the video market opens up."
Conde's chief digital officer, Fred Santarpia, added: "Lisa knows how to effectively connect brands and consumers, which is a tremendous benefit to our advertising partners. Our digital video network offers marketers both the premium quality content and scale that Conde Nast is known for, and Lisa will be key in helping us continue our incredible momentum."
Conde Nast launched its entertainment division in 2011 to develop film, television and digital video programming. In 2013, the division launched a digital video network with channels based on Conde Nast brands like Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Glamour and Wired. The network reached more than 500 million views last year.
