Terry Connelly is exiting his post as general manager and senior vp programming and production at the Weather Channel. Connelly, whose last day at the network is Sept. 30, is exiting the network to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. The network is looking for his replacement. Connelly joined the Weather Channel as vp programming in 1999, rising through the ranks. Before joining the network, Connelly was a veteran TV news director who had most recently been with WJLA Washington. At the Weather Channel, Connelly helped change up the network's on-air programming, including introducing shows with their own anchors and adding live reports from areas with weather-related news.
