Content Media Strikes Deal With Great Point Media
The partnership provides Content Television with international distribution rights to Great Point Media's TV output for two years, plus project development opportunities.
LONDON – U.K. and U.S. sales, finance and production banner Content Media Corporation has formed a partnership with Great Point Media, the U.K. media business founded by Emmy Award-winning producers Robert Halmi Jr. and Jim Reeve.
The partnership deal provides Content Television, headed by president Greg Phillips, with international distribution rights to Great Point Media's TV output for two years, as well as the chance to work together on packaging, creative development and sales strategies for television content aimed at the international market.
Founded in 2012, Great Point Media is led by chairman Halmi, a founder of the Hallmark Channel, and Reeve and a team of executives formerly responsible for television production and financing at Ingenious Media.
Said Halmi, "We are excited to strike this new deal with Content Television, which will add a wealth of international opportunities to our existing business and a real global reach for our new projects. Great Point Media represents the latest in a flurry of deals designed to build Content Media's portfolio through collaborations with TV and film content developers."
Content has a first-look deal with Edyson Entertainment in Los Angeles and Toronto and represents Jigsaw Productions, Collins Avenue and Aito Media in the international market.
No financial details or projects were announced.
