Core Media Group Announces Partnership With Hazy Mills Productions
The content producer will work with Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner's company to develop new scripted, unscripted and digital content.
Hazy Mills Productions is now in business with Core Media Group. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s company, which produces series such as Grimm, Hot in Cleveland and The Soul Man, will work with Core on developing scripted and unscripted content.
Core Media Group announced the partnership during Tuesday's RealScreen Summit in Washington, D.C.
“Sean and Todd have very quickly built a remarkable track record, and their passion and enthusiasm for creating content across multiple platforms is perfectly in line with our vision at Core," said Core president Marc Graboff and head of the company's U.S. television division, Jennifer O'Connell.
The deal is the latest in Core Media Group's push to expand existing development and production capabilities. On Monday, the company tapped former ITV director of television Simon Shaps to lead its new television division in the U.K.
"We're beyond thrilled to be a part of the family at Core Media Group," said Hayes and Milliner in a statement. "It's great to be involved with a new company that has as much ambition as we do. It will be a fantastic opportunity for both our companies to grow together."
In addition to developing projects for TV, Hazy Mills will also be pursuing new digital content for Core. The production company, which started in 2004, has already developed and produced for NBC/Universal, CBS/Paramount, UPN, Bravo, CW, Showtime, SyFy, FX, Fox and TV-Land.
NBC recently picked up a pilot from Hazy Mills and Universal Television, which will also serve as a starring vehicle for Hayes.
