Primetime was a country music land Wednesday when the 41st annual Country Music Awards on ABC dominated the night.

The three-hour broadcast of the awards show averaged 15.9 million viewers and a 5.4 rating/14 share among adults 18-49, matching its demo performance last year, according to early Nielsen estimates.

The downward spiral of NBC's freshman drama "Bionic Woman" continues. The sci-fi series logged 6.5 million viewers, 2.7/7, its lowest demo numbers to date.

It was beat in the 9 p.m. hour by the CMAs on ABC, CBS' "Criminal Minds" (14.6 million, 3.8/10) and Fox's "Kitchen Nightmares" (6.4 million, 2.9/7).

For the night, ABC was followed by CBS (11.5 million, 3.1/8), NBC (6.3 million, 2.5/7) and Fox (6.0 million, 2.4/6).
