'The Cove' tops Nantucket fest

Cherien Dabis takes home Adrienne Shelley award

The Audience Award for best feature at the 14th annual Nantucket Film Festival, which concluded Sunday in Nantucket, Mass., went to Louie Psihoyos' "The Cove."

The fest presented its Adrienne Shelley Excellence in Filmmaking Award, which recognizes a female filmmaker, to "Amreeka" writer-director Cherien Dabis.

The winner of Showtime's Tony Cox Screenplay Competition, which recognizes an emerging screenwriter, was Jenny Deller for her script "Future Weather."

Showtime's Tony Cox Award for Screenwriting was awarded to Mark Boal for "The Hurt Locker."

Best storytelling in a documentary: "The Cove"

Audience award for best short: "Abuelo," directed by Mary Ann Kellogg
