Cuatro inks deal with Disney ABC ESPN
Spanish broadcaster takes series, moviesMADRID -- Spanish broadcaster Cuatro announced Tuesday a deal with Disney ABC ESPN that includes series, such as "Castle" and "Samurai Girl," as well as movies from the Disney catalogue.
The deal also includes "Secret Life of the American Teenager."
The announcement was made as the broadcaster revealed its upcoming lineup, which includes other new series like "Dollhouse," "Life on Mars," "Sons of Anarchy" and "True Blood," among others.
Cuatro is one of the few Spanish broadcasters to bet heavily on U.S. product. The broadcaster, owned by Sogecable, is set to run its fifth season of "House" -- which regularly captures about 19% of the audience -- and a sixth season of "Grey's Anatomy," which secures about 18% of viewers.
