The CW Fall Premiere Party: A Cinematic Welcome for the Young Bloods
THR gives you the sights and sounds from the star-studded bash held at the Warner Bros. studio lot.
The CW celebrated its upcoming fall premieres with a bash on the Warner Bros. lot sponsored by search engine, Bing!, on Saturday night in Burbank, Calif.

It was a coming out party of sorts for the casts of new shows The Secret Circle, Hart of Dixie, and Ringer. New reality show, H8R, was also being honored, though host Mario Lopez was reportedly unable to attend due to the ALMA Awards being held the same night. Much of the buzz about the party lied in the fact that the network flew in all the cast members of its fan favorite, The Vampire Diaries, from shooting in Atlanta in for the event.

Held outside of the Steven J. Ross Theater, the area was split into sections for each of its new shows. Each part had its own bar with themed drinks. For example, the Hart of Dixie bar had a bourbon sweet tea, Dixie Palmers, and Mint Juleps. A buffet stretched the length of the party and wait staff that looked as if they could be stars on the network’s shows passed hors d'oeuvres. The event’s deejay definitely played to the network’s market with hits including Katy Perry and Danity Kane.
In case guests wanted to capture the experience, there was a H8R-themed photo booth, as well as an opportunity to shoot pictures with a star from the Hart of Dixie, a live alligator. That’s correct, a live alligator.
Rachel Bilson, the O.C. alum and star of Hart of Dixie was a welcome surprise for the guests as she was a late addition to the list of the party’s attendees. She was hard to spot (with her long hair up and really she’s a tiny thing) and believe us plenty of people were searching. She did several strolls through the different sections of the party and then took photos before she left.

The Secret Circle cast members Britt Robertson, Louis Hunter, and Thomas Dekker were seen doing the party rounds. Phoebe Tonkin was spotted laughing and posing for photos when we heard someone say, “She’s so good in the pilot.” Tonkin plays chief troublemaker, Faye.
Robertson's former cast mate and now Ringer star Kristoffer Polaha met up on the red carpet before jumping into interviews. It wasn’t long ago when his now-cancelled series, Life Unexpected, was being welcomed to the network itself, and he tells us it was wonderful seeing her again. A disappointment for fans in attendance, the series' star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, didn't attend.
The Vampire Diaries cast lived up to the buzz. It was hard not to turn around and see someone from the supernatural show. Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Zach Roerig, and Kat Graham spent much of their time in the same area speaking with guests. Guest star Joseph Morgan, who plays the power hungry vampire/werewolf hybrid Klaus, brought his girlfriend, star of ABC’s Revenge Emily VanCamp. It was late in the night and after several interviews, he told us he “was ready to go home, kick back, and put on a T-shirt.”

We also ran into The Vampire Diaries exec producer Julie Plec, who told us she was having a hard time finding co-EP, creator, and social butterfly, Kevin Williamson, so that they can leave together.
Many of the 90210 cast came straight from shooting to the party. In fact, we parked next to Manish Dayal, who plays Raj, as he was doing a quick change in his car for the event. Also spotted mingling together: Shenae Grimes, Matt Lanter, and Gillian Zinser. Tristan Wilds arrived fashionably late – literally – wearing a very smart pair of glasses.
We also spoke to Trevor Donovan, whose character came out of the closet last year. He was hanging out with Smallville and Blue Mountain State star, Alan Ritchson (who guest starred last season as one of Teddy’s boy crushes). Nikita’s Shane West and Jessica Lowndes were also spotted speaking for a few minutes.
The party died down a bit around 11 p.m. with some of the star guests telling us they were going to look for late-night meals, because they forgot to eat all night. That’s either the sign of a happening party or just Hollywood.
