CW Promotes Paul Hewitt to Exec VP Communications

The CW has promoted one of its original executives.

Paul Hewitt, who has been with the younger-skewing network since its formation in 2006, has been promoted to exec vp communications.

In his new role, Hewitt will continue to oversee all communications strategies, media relations, program publicity, corporate communications, photo publicity and talent relations for The CW, as well as all internal communications. 

Hewitt was vp communications at UPN from 2003-06 before the network merged with then- the WB Network and originally joined UPN in 2002 as a director of corporate communications.

The former senior vp and vp at The CW has managed The CW’s corporate media relations and communications, including handling trade and business press for the network's marketing strategies, digital efforts, ad sales and ratings, as well as executive speechwriting.

Before The CW and UPN, Hewitt was a manager of corporate communications at Fox and started his TV career in that network's research and marketing department in 1995.
