'Cyrus' to open BAMcinemaFest

Olivier Assayas also set to appear

"Cyrus," directed by brothers Jay and Mark Duplass and starring John C. Reilly, will serve as opening night film at the second annual BAMcinemaFest, running from June 9-20, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Presented by BAMcinematek, this year’s fest will also host a conversation between director Olivier Assayas and film critic Kent Jones on his influences along with screenings of two of his favorite films.

Other special events include the New York premiere of the new restoration of Ozploitation rediscovery "Wake In Fright" by director Ted Kotchef, and G.W. Pabst's classic silent "Diary of a Lost Girl," starring Louise Brooks with live musical accompaniment by Irish ambient rock group 3epkano, closing the festival.
