Daley gets inaugural Swartz Award
To be presented at the HPA Awards gala Nov. 6Elizabeth Daley, dean of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, will be honored by the Hollywood Post Alliance as the first recipient of its new Charles S. Swartz Award.
The award, which will be presented at the HPA Awards gala Nov. 6 at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles, honors a person, group, company or technology that has made a significant artistic, technological, business or educational impact on post production. It is named after Charles S. Swartz, the executive director and CEO of USC's Entertainment Technology Center, who died last year.
In addition to her role as dean, which she has held since 1991, Daley was the founding executive director of the Annenberg Center from 1995-2005. She is overseeing the creation of a new Cinematic Arts compound.
