Dan Bakkedahl Signs on for Fox's 'The Heat' (Exclusive)
"Daily Show" alum lands a supporting role in Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy female buddy cop comedy.
Daily Show alum Dan Bakkedahl has signed on to co-star in Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy female buddy cop comedy The Heat for Twentieth Century Fox.
Bakkedahl joins a cast that also includes Taran Killam, Michael Rapaport and Kaitlin Olson. In the Paul Feig-helmed pic, he will play a DEA agent who finds himself at odds with Bullock and McCarthy's characters.

After The Heat, which is currently filming in Boston, Bakkedahl moves to the FX series Legit, in which he plays one of the co-leads.
The former senior correspondent on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart has booked a number of high-profile film and TV roles in recent years, including the Seth Rogen starrer Observe and Report and the Larry Charles NBC pilot Our Show, opposite Jonathan Sadowski, Nate Corddry and PJ Byrne.
