'Dancing With the Stars': Chaz Bono Is a Long Shot According to Online Betting Site
The contestants for Season 13 of Dancing With the Stars have not even taken their first sashay on the dance floor, and yet one betting site is already predicting who will shine and who will sink.
Bodog, an online betting site, has listed George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend, model Elisabetta Canalis as the best bet, with 9/2. The three front runners are actually all young women. Coming in a close second is soccer star Hope Solo, followed by former Hills star Kristin Cavallari.

On the low end, HLN host Nancy Grace is second to last, and Chaz Bono takes the long shot position.
"The clear underdog is Chaz Bono at 20-1 who does not look to be in great shape and may not appeal to the masses who vote on this,” Adam Young, head oddsmaker at Bodog, told USA Today.

“But, realistically, until we see the first show we are making a lot of assumptions, and that is why we tend not to go any higher than 20-1 before we see how good or bad some of these contestants are."
Bodog isn’t always on track with its early betting odds. Bristol Palin opened at 30/1 during her season, and yet she made it to the top 3.

Since ABC’s official announcement that Sonny and Cher’s child Chaz Bono, a transgender, would be participating in the upcoming season of the dance competition, ABC’s message board was flooded with ncomplaints about the casting. And Conservative parents groups and media organizations have called for a boycott of the show.
“This has really reinforced his decision to be part of the show,” Bono’s rep, who spoke on Good Morning America, said of the controversy. “No way is he going to back down.”
