Daniel Diamond Joins QED as International President
The company describes the move as part of an "operational expansion" as it heads to Toronto with films starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Woody Allen and Matt Damon.
Daniel Diamond has joined QED International as president of international.
Diamond is coming from Morgan Creek Productions, where he acted as president of international distribution.

The move is described by the company as being part of an “operational expansion” as it heads in the Toronto International Film Festival and the American Film Market where it will be selling a line-up of star-driven projects.
On the slate are Ten (formerly Breacher), directed by David Ayer and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger; Fading Gigolo, directed by John Turturro and starring Turturro and Woody Allen; and Elysium, the new film from Neill Blomkamp and starring Matt Damon.
“Daniel will add significantly to our global firepower,” said QED CEO Bill Block. “His shrewd understanding of the changing rights business and his exceptional relationships in every market will allow us to achieve better market penetration globally, and we’re thrilled he can join us as we gear up for Toronto and AFM.”
At Morgan Creek, Diamond headed worldwide distribution and marketing of films such as Dream House, which starred Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Raceh Weisz, and the 2011 prequel to The Thing. He also oversaw the company’s library.
Before working at Morgan Creek, he acted as president of CanWest Global subsidiary Fireworks Pictures and worked at Franchise Pictures.
