Danish films break 27-year b.o. record
On target for a 30%-plus market share for 2008COLOGNE, Germany -- Danish films sold more than 4.1 million tickets in their home territory this year, a 27-year high.
The boxoffice bonanza was led by World War II epic “Flame & Citron,” which had an astounding 668,000 admissions in Denmark, a country of some 5 million people. Danish films are on target to take a 30%-plus share of the country’s total boxoffice for 2008.
