History Orders Car Flipping Series Starring 'Pawn Stars' Personality (Exclusive)
The male-skewing network will premiere its new auto-centric show, featuring Sin City's Danny “The Count” Koker, in August.
Danny “The Count” Koker is getting his own vehicle.
History has ordered Counting Cars, centered on Koker, the famous Las Vegas car flipper who has turned up on the network’s top-rated Pawn Stars on multiple occasions.
Flipping cars is not only a hobby, but also a high-stakes business for Koker, who, along with his team, has to restore, modify, customize and sell them quickly enough to stay in the black. Each episode will feature stories about historic vehicles (from vintage Thunderbirds to classic Corvettes to tricked out motorcycles), chronicling both their transformations as well as the wheeling and dealing of them.
The series, which hails from Pawn’s Leftfield Pictures, will premiere Monday, August 13 before moving into its regularly scheduled Tuesday 10 pm slot the following night. History’s Zachary Behr andJulian Hobbs will serve as executive producers alongside Leftfield’s Brent Montgomery, David George and Shawn Witt. Joel Patterson is attached as a co-EP.
Counting Cars will join a testosterone-fueled schedule that includes such series as Ice Road Truckers, Swamp People and Top Shot.
