Dardenne Brothers' 'Kid With A Bike' to Open Munich Film Festival

The film won the Grand Prix honor at the Cannes Film Festival.
COLOGNE, Germany - The Dardenne Brothers' latest, The Kid With A Bike, will open this year's Munich International Film Festival on June 24. The social drama from the Belgian auteurs won the Grand Jury Prize at its debut in Cannes last month, sharing the honor with Nuri Bilge Ceylon’s Once Upon A Time In Anatolia.
Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne plan to attend the Munich festival, together with Kid star Thomas Doret.
The 2011 Munich International Film Festival runs June 24-July 2.
