Daryl Berg Named VP Music at Shine America
The executive will focus on expanding the music portfolio at the company, which is behind such series as "The Biggest Loser," "MasterChef" and "The Office."
Daryl Berg has been named vp music at Shine America, where he will be responsible for the company's music strategy.
In his new role, Berg will focus on expanding the company’s music portfolio, helping to develop music-based productions and building licensing properties across scripted, unscripted and digital productions. He most recently was executive director of music at Shine.
Since joining the company last year, Berg has launched a monthly concert series called Brown Bag Sessions at Shine America’s Hollywood headquarters, with artists such as All-American Rejects, Shiny Toy Guns and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy.
"Daryl has proven to be a tremendous addition to the Shine America team," CEO Carl Fennessy said. "His extensive music industry experience and relationships have proven invaluable across many of our productions."
Before joining Shine America, Berg was director of Music at Fuel TV, where he spearheaded the overall music strategy for the network and helped book such as as LMFAO, Blink-182 and Mumford & Sons for the channel's The Daily Habit.
Previously Berg co-created Crusty Old Timer Inc., a music supervision and placement company, and served as director of business development and new media at EMI Recorded Music.
Shine America is behind such series as The Biggest Loser, MasterChef and The Office.
