Dave Navarro Lists Hollywood Loft for $949,000
The rock guitarist puts his Broadway Hollywood condo on the market -- $30,000 in blackout curtains included.
Dave Navarro -- guitarist for Jane’s Addiction and host of Spike TV’s Ink Master -- has listed his Hollywood loft for just under $1 million. The 1,570-square-foot condo, located in the Broadway Hollywood building, features 15-foot-high ceilings and panoramic, north-facing views of the Capital Records building as well as the Hollywood sign.
Navarro purchased the open plan unit in 2007 for $1.04 million -- a year after he split from his third wife, Carmen Electra -- and converted the space into a high-glam rock hideaway. Details include crushed vinyl wallpaper in the entry, an eye-popping black, white and red bathroom and a shimmering Ann Sacks backsplash in the open-concept kitchen.
"The building has this very New York loft feeling with a doorman and 24-hour concierge and valet parking," says listing agent Skyler Hynes of Coldwell Banker. "There’s a Katsuya on the first floor that delivers room service to all of the lofts, and the rooftop pool and cabanas are insanely beautiful."
The unit, which was designed by decorator Heidi Toll, also features blackout curtains worth more than $30,000 and Navarro's custom white vinyl-upholstered platform bed, which will be included in the sale. Although the unit technically doesn't have a bedroom, the bed can be hidden from the main living area with a view-blocking curtain.
The 10-story 1928 building, located on Hollywood and Vine, was purchased by KOR Group in 2004 and was given an interior decorating overhaul by Kelly Wearstler. Over the years, it has housed the likes of Charlize Theron, Jason Statham and Wilmer Valderrama. "Compared to other residential buildings in the area, which are very open, this is the opposite: You don't feel like you're in a scene here," says Hynes. "You're just coming home to a beautiful building with a great staff."
